This year’s national medical college debate and quiz festival is being dedicated to the memory of Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain, who had shown a rare feat of selflessness and did not leave his friends behind while in danger.
Faraaz was among the 20 hostages who were killed during the 12-hour siege at the capital’s Holey Artisan Bakery on July 1.
The National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDF BD) and Rajshahi Medical College Debating Club (RMC DC) are jointly organising the “Unimed and Unihealth 4th NDF-RMC DC National Medical College Debate and Quiz Festival” on October 14 and 15.
Over a thousand medical students, internee doctors and teachers are expected to participate in the festival to be held at RMC, said a NDF BD press release yesterday.
